Powder coated

Dry paint powder is sprayed on and baked into an even, smooth film. It protects against rust, wear and fading, and it comes in many colors. Small scratches can be touched up with a paint pen in the same color.

Galvanized steel

Steel is dipped in hot molten zinc to protect it from rust. It starts shiny silver and turns a matte silver-grey with sun and rain, and it's very hard to scratch.
