Powder coated
Dry paint powder is sprayed on and baked into an even, smooth film. It protects against rust, wear and fading, and it comes in many colors. Clean it regularly with a mild, neutral cleaner. Small scratches can be touched up with a paint pen in the same color.
Galvanized steel
Steel is dipped in hot molten zinc to protect it from rust. It starts shiny silver and turns a matte silver-grey with sun and rain. It hides dirt well and is very hard to scratch, which makes it a great fit for public spaces. Damage can be touched up with zinc spray.
Choose wisely
- Dark colors take in more heat in direct sunlight.
- Light colors look their best when cleaned regularly.
- Mid-tone colors like Earth, Copper brown, Reed green, Verdigris, Beach beige and Pistache offer the best balance.
